May Gibbs’ Nutcote is the historic harbourside home and studio of Australian author and illustrator May Gibbs. Built in 1925, the heritage-listed house is now a museum with reconstructed 1930s interiors, a collection of May Gibbs publications and personal items, and gardens featuring native and exotic plants and statues of her characters. Visitors can learn about May Gibbs’ life and work through a guided house tour, explore the gardens, and visit the café, gift shop and children’s room.
